Eugene Bango plays outlaw country, blues and old-fashioned rock and roll, songs about trains, boats, hard times and hard drinking. His music is up-tempo and down home. He's a back track for beer drinking and honky tonkin'.
Eugene Bango has been playing music since he was a little kid and his Dad brought home a cheap electric guitar from a pawnshop. He began playing in church and got his first paying gig at 12 years old. He's been a regular in bands in the Sacramento music scene, playing music that ranged from bluegrass and folk to heavy metal. Eugene moved to Reno in 2014 where he performed as a band member in many of the venues in the Reno, Carson, and Tahoe area.
In 2019 he decided to go solo and released his first album, “Alone”, an act of acceptance that now he was on his own. He wrote all the songs, played all the instruments, recorded all the tracks and did the artwork alone. In 2020, he released his second album, “Songs From The Shed”. Songs from both albums received frequent air play from radio stations in the Reno, Tahoe area. Avoiding the quiet, introspective ballads favored by many singer songwriters, Eugene plays hard-rocking down-to-earth music that will have you tapping your feet.
